Dragon's Blood is the sap of the Croton Lechleri, a tree that grows in the Amazon. It is sometimes called Sangre de Drago in Spanish. The sap is a form of natural latex that is bright red in color.
Application of Dragon's Blood can have many healing benefits. We use it to treat the gates made in the skin when applying Kambo. Use of Dragon's Blood in this way contributes to:
- Rapid healing
- Reduced scarring
- Anagesic / pain reduction
- Anti-microbial properties help prevent infection
After application it takes about 15 minutes for the Dragon's Blood to dry, at which point it can be covered by clothing. The next time you bathe it will mostly wash away except for the actual area of the wounds, where the medicine will be fused with the scabs that form until it eventually wears away.
There are many other applications for Dragon's Blood, from treating open cuts and sores to internal use for help with gastrointenstinal troubles, etc.
